Gugulethu Sofia Mbatha is known by her stage and screen names Gugu Mbatha Raw. She became popular due to her appearance in the BBC Science Fiction TV show Doctor Who. Gugu gained fame for her role as Tish Jones in the BBC series. She played the role of the twin sister of a character named Martha Jones. Gugu was set to pursue a career in acting after the audience was captivated by her jovial personality. Other stage and television shows in Britain include many other productions. The performance she made in the role of Belle (2013) on the British period drama 'Beyond the Lights,' and her performance on the romance drama 'Beyond The Lights' have been praised by the critics. Chelsea Joy Handler, born on February 25, 1975, on the 25th of February, 1975 in Livingston New Jersey, is the youngest of six children. She was the eldest child in a family of six. The mother of Handler worked as a housekeeper and her father was employed as a used car dealer. Her mother is a German who came into her home in United States from Germany in 1958. Handler was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1989, and died after battling cancer for 10 years. Handler was educated in Reform Judaism by her father and grandfather, who were Jewish. Handler was blessed with a joyful good, healthy and safe childhood in a good neighbourhood. As a teenager, she made the move into Los Angeles, California to explore a career in acting. Handler began acting in order for cash. Handler made the decision to focus on stand-up comedy at the age of 21 after she realized her storytelling skills. Handler started her stand-up career on the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving Badly which was a reality program with an in-camera hidden camera and a practical joke. This show aired between 2002 and 2005. The host worked on numerous other shows including Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show My Wife and Kids, The Practice, and Weekends at D.L. Handler appeared on The Tonight Show for a time as a reporter. Handler achieved her first big break in 2006 when she hosted her E! show. named The Chelsea Handler Show. The show lasted 2 seasons. Handler followed this up by performing in the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour which was a tour within the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all aired her stand-up shows. In 2010, she was confirmed as host of the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. In doing so, she became the first female host in history after Roseanne.
